Up Close and Personal

Danielle Cortese is an associate in Meyer Darragh's Pittsburgh office, working primarily in the areas of drug and medical device litigation and real estate litigation.  Danielle's work includes defending claims against laboratories, medical device manufacturers and distributors, hospitals and physicians.  Danielle also works on defending claims against her clients engaged in the business of employee relocation.

 

Danielle is a 2006 graduate of Duquesne Law School.  Her work experience during law school included serving as a judicial clerk for Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the United States District Court of the Western District of Pennsylvania, as well as working in the legal department of Medrad, Inc.  Danielle also had the opportunity during law school to study in Rome, Italy concentrating on roman and canon law.  Prior to law school, Danielle attended Lafayette College, where she majored in government and law, was a member of the swimming team, and studied in London at Huron University.

 

Professionally, Danielle has become very involved in her community of Allegheny County, serving as a committee member for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign.  Outside the office, Danielle enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with her family.  Danielle was raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and currently resides in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.
