Up Close and Personal
James Miller is an associate at Meyer Darragh's Pittsburgh
office where he is engaged in civil defense litigation. James'
work includes defending product liability claims involving consumer
products and commercial equipment, transportation claims,
construction and commercial disputes, employment discrimination, and
insurance related issues.
James is a 2008
graduate of Duquesne School of Law. He first joined Meyer
Darragh in June of 2007 as a summer associate. While in law
school, James served on the editorial board of the Duquesne Law
Review as a comment editor, and was secretary of Phi Alpha Delta
Law Fraternity. During his third year, he completed an
externship with the Honorable Judge David S. Cercone of the United
States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
In the summer after his first year of law school, James volunteered
his time working as a law clerk at Mid Penn Legal Services in York,
Pennsylvania, where he assisted attorneys in serving the legal needs
of indigent individuals and families.
Prior to law school, James attended
the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
political science. He remains a dedicated and loyal fan of
Pitt's athletic teams. James was raised in Hanover, Pennsylvania,
and currently resides in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood. |
