Up Close And Personal
Meghan may be familiar to you. Prior to joining Meyer Darragh,
Meghan worked in the television news industry for nine years.
The last five years were spent at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh where Meghan
worked as a consumer/legal affairs reporter.
Meghan's legal
experience covers many areas of the law. She primarily
focuses on civil litigation. However, she also practices
criminal defense work as well as firearm rights litigation in
state trial and appellate courts. She is admitted to the
Pennsylvania and United States Supreme Courts.
Meghan is a native
of Baltimore, Maryland. However, she moved to Upper St.
Clair when she was twelve. Meghan graduated from Seton
La-Salle High School in 1993 and from Duquesne University in
1997 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She also
attended Duquesne University School of Law and graduated with a
Juris Doctorate degree in 2002. Meghan still has ties to
Duquesne University. She currently serves as an adjunct
professor in Duquesne University's Journalism program where she
teaches the course, Media Law and Regulation. Meghan also
serves as Meyer Darragh's Hiring and Diversity Coordinator.
While in law
school, Meghan worked as an intern for the Pennsylvania Attorney
General's Office in the Bureau of Consumer Protection, the U.S.
Attorney's Office, and the Honorable Alan N. Bloch of the U.S.
District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Meghan also worked as a law clerk at the Allegheny County Public
Defender's Office where she was certified by the Pennsylvania
Supreme Court to represent clients while she was still attending
classes.
