Up Close And Personal
Richard S. Canciello, or simply "Rich" to his friends and colleagues,
joined the firm in late February 2004. Rich has substantial civil litigation and
trial experience in defending persons or businesses sued
as the result of alleged personal injury, whether sustained in an
accident or on premises owned by the insured. He also has a
growing commercial and business litigation practice, which includes
debt collection. Rich's municipal practice includes serving as
solicitor for the Borough of Avalon and the Sewickley Heights Zoning
Hearing Board. Moreover, he serves as special litigation
counsel to the Ohio Township Sanitary Authority in condemnation
proceedings. Finally, he represents and counsels clients on
workers' compensation, as well as labor and employment matters. A 1990 graduate of the
University of Pittsburgh, Rich worked as a field investigator for
the National Labor Relations Board prior to attending Temple
University's law school in 1991. His interest in labor and
employment issues has continued as a part of his practice.
Out of the office, Rich
enjoys weight-lifting, jogging, reading, and is an avid college
football fan,
especially with regard to the University of Pittsburgh. Above all else, he enjoys
spending time with his wife and three young children.
