TWO MEYER DARRAGH ATTORNEYS NAMED PENNSYLVANIA SUPER LAWYERS

Pittsburgh, PA — Attorneys Eric N. Anderson and Marie Milie Jones of the law firm of Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek & Eck, a Professional Limited Liability Company, have been named Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2004.

Law & Politics magazine, which publishes Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, uses a three-step selection process to decide upon the lawyers who will receive the distinction of "Super Lawyers." A general survey is sent to all lawyers across Pennsylvania asking them to name the best lawyers they have personally observed in action. A review panel then scores the attorneys nominated in the general survey. Finally, an attorney-led independent research group grades the nominated lawyers based on ten criteria. The points from each step are added up and the list is cut off at the top five percent.

"The honors imparted to Marie and Eric are most deserved. Not only ‘super lawyers,' they are phenomenal colleagues," said Carl A. Eck, one of the firm's founding partners. "We proudly congratulate them both on their inclusion in this elite group."

A graduate of Colgate University and the University of Pittsburgh Law School, Mr. Anderson has developed a reputation as a premier defense attorney, representing corporate and organization clients in aviation, banking, commercial litigation, insurance, personal injury, products liability, and transportation. He is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Born and raised in Greensburg, Ms. Jones is a cum laude graduate of Duquesne University and its law school. A defense trial attorney who represents companies in employment matters and other clients in commercial disputes, Ms. Jones has also achieved prominence for her representation of counties and local governments sued by those who allege police abuse, excessive force, and other violations of constitutional rights. At age 35, she became managing attorney for Meyer Darragh, the youngest female to head up a major law firm in Pittsburgh's history.

Meyer Darragh, headquartered in the U.S. Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, also maintains offices in Greensburg and Altoona, Pennsylvania. The firm practices in a variety of fields including litigation defense, employment law, municipal law, and motor vehicle and criminal defense.
