MEYER DARRAGH ATTORNEYS NAMED 2006
PENNSYLVANIA SUPER LAWYERS Pittsburgh, PA
— Attorneys Eric N.
Anderson, Carl A. Eck, Marie Milie Jones, and Joseph E. Vogrin,
III, partners in the law firm of Meyer, Darragh, Buckler,
Bebenek & Eck, a Professional Limited Liability Company, have
been named Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2006. Mr. Anderson and
Ms. Jones have made the Super Lawyers list since 2004, and Mr.
Eck since 2005.
Law & Politics magazine, which publishes Pennsylvania
Super Lawyers, uses a three-step selection process to decide
upon the lawyers who will receive the distinction of “Super
Lawyers.” A general survey is sent to all lawyers across
Pennsylvania asking them to name the best lawyers they have
personally observed in action. A review panel then scores the
attorneys nominated in the general survey. Finally, an
attorney-led independent research group grades the nominated
lawyers based on ten criteria. The points from each step are
added up and the list is cut off at the top five percent.
A graduate of Colgate University and the University of
Pittsburgh Law School, Mr. Anderson has developed a reputation
as an outstanding trial attorney, representing corporate and
organization clients in aviation, banking, commercial
litigation, insurance, personal injury, products liability, and
transportation. He is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers
6f Allegheny County. Mr. Anderson also continues his life-long
commitment to legal representation for all citizens with his
membership in the Neighborhood Legal Services Association
through which he provides pro bono legal work to plaintiffs in
Protection from Abuse hearings.

its law school, and is recognized for his distinguished legal
career. He has built a reputation as a tenacious litigator by
defending major domestic and international automobile and
product designers and manufacturers, defending religious
institutions in high-profile molestation cases, and defending
government agencies, corporations, and construction companies in
contract disputes. He is a Fellow of the American College of
Trial Lawyers and a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of
Allegheny County.
Born and raised in Greensburg, Ms. Jones is a cum laude
graduate of Duquesne University and its law school. A defense
trial attorney who represents companies in employment matters
and other clients in commercial disputes, Ms. Jones has also
achieved prominence for her representation of counties and local
governments sued by those who allege police abuse, excessive
force, and other violations of constitutional rights. At age 35,
she became managing attorney for Meyer Darragh -- the youngest
female to head up a major law firm in Pittsburgh’s history.
